MatchaStop! is an independently run matcha brand focused on ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha.

We started with one simple belief: good matcha should feel honest, approachable, and enjoyable whether it’s whisked at home or served in a busy café.

We work closely with tea farmers and producers in Japan who have dedicated generations to the craft of tea. Our matcha is sourced directly from renowned growing regions such as Shizuoka, Kagoshima, and Uji (Kyoto), Chosen for its flavor, balance, and how it actually tastes and works in daily use.

From single cultivars to carefully chosen profiles, every matcha we carry is meant to be brewed, tasted, and appreciated. We care deeply about freshness, sourcing transparency, and how each matcha performs in different styles from usucha to lattes.

What drives us isn’t just quality, but respect for the people behind the tea, the process, and the ritual itself. We hope MatchaStop! becomes part of your daily ritual, wherever you are.

FAQs

What’s the difference between your matcha variants?

Our matcha differs not only in flavor, but also in tea cultivars and refinement level. Each variant is made from specific cultivars that naturally influence aroma, umami, and bitterness.
While all of our matcha comes from first-harvest leaves, higher grades go through a more meticulous process where stems and veins are further separated from the leaves. This results in a finer texture, brighter green color, and smoother mouthfeel, making it ideal for premium drinks and ceremonial-style preparation.

Is MatchaStop! matcha ceremonial grade?

At MatchaStop, we prefer not to rely on the term “ceremonial grade,” as it is often used as a marketing label with no formal standard.
Instead, we focus on what truly matters: first-harvest matcha. All MatchaStop matcha is produced exclusively from first-harvest leaves, which are naturally higher in amino acids, smoother in taste, and more vibrant in color. In practical terms, first-harvest matcha already meets and exceeds what is commonly referred to as ceremonial grade in the industry.

Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Yes. Our minimum order starts at 500g, making it suitable for home cafés, small cafés, and even large-scale operations. We keep our MOQ intentionally low to support growing businesses while still accommodating high-volume partners.

What’s the shelf life of your matcha?

Unopened: Up to 12 months from production.

Opened & stored in a chiller: Best within 4–6 months.

Opened & stored at room temperature: Best within 1–2 months.

For best results, always keep matcha tightly sealed and away from heat, light, and moisture.

How do I place an order?

Simply contact us via WhatsApp or email. Our team will assist you with product selection, pricing, and delivery details.

Do you offer custom matcha sourcing for cafés?

Yes. MatchaStop! also provides custom matcha sourcing tailored to your café’s needs. Whether you’re looking for a specific cultivar, flavor profile, origin, or performance requirement, we can help source and recommend matcha that fits your concept and menu.
